24.1.2017 "Naisten Kiina", Tiedekulma, Helsingin yliopisto (January 24, 2017: "Women's China", Think Corner, Univeristy of Helsinki)

Miltä maailma näyttää kiinalaisen naisen silmin? Millainen asema hänellä on työelämässä, politiikassa tai perheessä? Kiinassa on vuonna 2017 lähes 700 miljoona naista, joten yksiselitteistä kuvaa kiinalaisesta naisesta on vaikea muodostaa. Naisten asemaa, rooleja ja elämää Kiinassa pohtivat yliopistonlehtori Tiina Airaksinen (HY), vanhempi tutkija Elina Sinkkonen (UPI) ja toimittaja Mari Manninen (HS). Haastattelijana Voima-lehden toimittaja Iia Simes.
Tiina Airaksisen, Elina Sinkkosen ja Minna Valjakan toimittama Enemmän kuin puoli taivasta: kiinalainen nainen historiassa, yhteiskunnassa ja kulttuurissa (Art House) sai Kanava-tietokirjapalkinto vuonna 2016. Mari Mannisen Yhden lapsen kansa: Kiinan salavauvat, pikkukeisarit ja hylätyt tyttäret (Atena) voitti tietokirjallisuuden Finlandia-palkinnon vuonna 2016.
